Sales Division

Functions as a strategic business leader of the Convention Sales Department and is responsible for the overall sales efforts and operations of the Convention Sales Team. The position has overall responsibility of teaming with the Sr. Vice President/Chief Sales Officer for achieving overall guestroom night goals, client, member and associate satisfaction, and to increase Dallas visibility through industry involvement. Prime are of focus is managing the Citywide Sales Team. As a member of the leadership team, assists in developing and implementing strategies that deliver return on investment in convention sales.

This position works within the Experience Division and advises partners and clients on available member and VisitDallas services. The Experience Coordinator works with internal and external customers while serving as a liaison between the member partner meeting professional and the Dallas hospitality community to secure the necessary contracted services to grow our partner programs and memberships.

The Communications/Marketing internship is designed to provide students with invaluable experience within VisitDallas through assisting with special projects directly related to marketing Dallas as a destination, increasing and tracking media coverage of the destination and assisting with social media and special events. The Communications and Marketing department at VisitDallas is undergoing exciting ventures. This internship will provide a unique opportunity to be involved in exciting projects, such as a re-branding of Dallas and new social media initiatives, among many others.
