Press Trips/FAMs

The VisitDallas public relations team welcomed 14 media from Canada, the UK, Chicago, Texas other parts of the United States in the month of December. Trips ranged from holiday themed experiences to family focus – showcasing Dallas' abundant diversity and hospitable spirit. Notable press trips include:

BIG D Holiday

It's the most wonderful time of the year…to welcome family bloggers to the city to talk about all the amazing holiday activities that Dallas has to offer. With support from the Hilton Anatole and BIG D Holiday partner attractions, VisitDallas welcome five more regional bloggers to the city to experience Dallas' vast holiday offerings. VisitDallas already hosted a set of bloggers in November, and the December trips rounded out the city's holiday press promotion.

Texas Journey

AAA Texas Journey magazine, based in California, welcomed a new editor to the team in 2016. Dallas hosted him as part of his familiarity tour of the state, and he visited Dallas' top attractions.

Wheel Chair Travel

In a first for VisitDallas, we hosted a blogger intent on touring and reviewing the city from an accessibility angle. The writer explored all parts of the city – both airports, Deep Ellum, Downtown, Bishop Arts – and accessed the public transportation system for a thorough review of Dallas' accessibility. The PR team had a lot of fun and found it a real joy to execute this trip.

Chicago Parent

A writer from Chicago Parent magazine visited Dallas to experience the city from a family friendly angle. As she was traveling with her husband and her children, she was able to visit Dallas' family attractions from a kid's perspective.
