Dallas Shows its Puppy Love: Pup-sized B&Gs to be unveiled at the White Rock Lake Dog Park ribbon cutting

DALLAS – (June 4, 2015) – On Saturday, the Dallas Convention & Visitors Bureau (Dallas CVB) will launch the next big woof in the bureau's "Big Things Happen Here" campaign: specially sized B&G sets for the city's canine community. The Doggie B&Gs – fire hydrant and tennis ball-themed – will be the perfect backdrop for proud pooch photos.

"Since the launch of the 'Big Things Happen Here' campaign in 2013, we've invited Dallas residents and visitors to become the 'I' in 'BIG' with our now-iconic B&G sets," said Noelle LeVeaux, Dallas CVB Chief Marketing Officer. "Now the city's pets will feel the love, too. Dallas is such a dog-friendly place with great amenities, and we wanted to highlight that aspect of our city."

The B&G sets will be unveiled at the reopening of the White Rock Lake Dog Park. Designed to give pups ample space to run, jump and play, the park now features large grassy play areas, a dog run with lake access and a scenic overlook.

The pup-arazzi will be out in full force at the event's star-studded opening. Among the VIPs (very important pups) attending the event will be Nemo, winner of D Magazine's cutest dog contest, and Nelson, who has more than 10,000 social media followers, earning him the title of Dallas' coolest dog. Additional surprise celebrities and their pooches are slated to make appearances at the event.

City Park and Recreation officials are confident the newly-renovated site will meet the approval of Dallas' famed four-legged residents. A ribbon-cutting to showcase the park's new amenities and unveil the Doggie B&G sets is 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 6, at White Rock Lake Dog Park, 8000 Mockingbird Lane.
