Scardello Artisan Cheese will host Max McCalman for a special Cheese and Wine 101 class and book signing Saturday, August 19, 2017, at its Oak Lawn location. McCalman is the Director of Cheese Studies at NYC's Institute of Culinary Education and is a Maître Fromager in the Guilde Internationale des Fromagers Saint-Uguzon. He is a James Beard award-winning author of Cheese, a Connoisseur's Guide to the World's Best; Mastering Cheese; The Cheese Plate; and McCalman's Swatchbook of Cheese and Wine Pairings. McCalman is also the owner of Max McCalman's Cheese & Wine Pairing App on iTunes and is a frequent judge in cheese competitions in North America and Europe. He serves on the Board of Directors of the American Cheese Society and is a founding member of the organization's Certi?ed Cheese Professional program.
