Big D New Year's Eve

December 31 – January 1
AT&T Plaza, Dallas

Ring in the new year with concerts outside on AT&T Plaza and inside House of Blues, NHL hockey, the largest fireworks display in the city and parties all over the park. All the festivities will be covered with an exciting live broadcast on WFAA-TV Channel 8, showcasing the entire celebration for the viewers at home!

Comerica Bank New Year's Parade

This annual parade features bands from around the U.S. and is sponsored by Comerica.

Mystiqal Nighttime Parade

On the style of New Orleans’ carnival traditions, Dallas’ parade will feature marching bands, elaborate floats, and bead and doubloon throwing. Crawfish, biscuits, red beans and rice, beignets, hurricanes and beer.

Tutankhamun and the Golden Age of the Pharaohs

Opening on October 3, 2008, at the Dallas Museum of Art, Tutankhamun and the Golden Age of the Pharaohs provides insight into the life of Tutankhamun and other royals of the 18th Dynasty (1555–1305 B.C.). All of the treasures in the exhibition are between 3,300 and 3,500 years old.
