The Adolphus Hotel
Since its opening in 1912, the Adolphus has housed visitors such as Babe Ruth, U2 and Donald Trump. Queen Elizabeth II once visited, and the staff aims to make every guest feel like royalty. Its old-world charm centers around exquisitely carved wood furnishings and regal décor. Guests can dine at the French Room, named Zagat Survey’s No. 1 hotel restaurant in the nation in 2006 and “one of the top 25 dining experiences in the world” by Travel & Leisure magazine after sampling its American cuisine and award-winning wine list. If executive chef Jason Weaver’s food isn’t enough, artist Alexander Rosenfield’s murals covering the arched ceilings and hand-blown crystal chandeliers take diners to Europe and Asia. 1321 Commerce St. |
