Spotlight on Dining is a peek into Dallas' world renowned culinary artists who share recipes and a bit of history on a great city passion, food!
FearingsOpened in 2007, Dean Fearing’s establishment was named “Restaurant of the Year” by Esquire Magazine. Fearing – widely considered to be the father of Southwestern cuisine – brings nationally acclaimed dishes from barbecued shrimp tacos to tortilla soup to the Ritz-Carlton. Fearing – the James Beard Foundation’s “Best Chef in the Southwest” – has appeared in his own show on the Food Network called “Entertaining at Home With Dean Fearing.” He’s also often seen playing guitar for his alternative country band The Barbwires, who just released their first album.
