Restaurants who received a star for high quality cooking:
Mamani
$$$$ · French Contemporary
We have to tip our hat to Mamani located in the Quad in Uptown Dallas. It has already become one of the most exciting additions to the Dallas dining scene, offering an atmosphere that feels both intimate and effortlessly stylish. We are impressed they earned a MICHELIN Star only forty-eight days after opening.
Mamani shows they are playing in a league of its own. We highly recommend you start off with something palatable on their bites menu. Croquettes are rich and savory with a golden crisp exterior. The inside is filled with silky Benton’s Country Ham and Manchego that melt together like a dream. The Panisse is a standout spin that takes chickpeas and turns them into something elegant: perfectly soft on the inside, lightly crisped on the outside, and paired with a smoky, paprika-kissed aioli.
But the pasta? Before it even reaches the table the Honeynut Squash Agnolotti aroma fills the air. This pillowy pasta pockets dish is filled with sweet butternut squash and is finished with sage and brown butter.
Then comes the showstopper: the Grilled Whole Branzino. Delicately charred, impossibly moist, and draped in a silky garlicky sauce. It’s balanced by a fresh radish salad that cuts through the richness with a perfect snap. To finish off the night with a light airy dessert, you must try their spin on gelato, topped with chocolate sauce and Texas sweet pecans. We encourage you to add Mamani to your Dallas dining list and book your reservations early.

Every piece is carefully crafted by Chef Tatsuya Sekiguchi, drawing on decades of experience and classical Japanese technique.
