The Compline Choir Presents: O Antiphons
As the season of Advent unfolds, join us for a serene and contemplative evening of worship at our final Compline service of the year: O Antiphons on Sunday, December 7 at 7 PM. This ancient Advent tradition gives voice to our longing and anticipation for Christ’s coming, expressed through Arvo Pärt’s hauntingly beautiful setting of the timeless texts that have inspired worshippers for centuries.
Sung by the sixteen professional voices of the Saint Michael Compline Choir, this candlelit, 30-minute service invites stillness, prayer, and reflection amid the rush of the season. Rooted in the ancient office of Compline and shaped by the Book of Common Prayer, the O Antiphons service offers a deeply spiritual and moving conclusion to the liturgical year—preparing our hearts for the joy of Christmas to come.
