Meet the Chefs

Dallas has no shortage of innovative chefs and culinary artists. These chefs are just a small representation of why Dallas and its dining scene continue to attract visitors from every corner of the world. 

We invited this group to partake in an ad this year that highlight's Dallas' food scene. Here's more about each of them. 

 

Dean Fearing – Fearing's Restaurant

Known as "The Father of Southwestern Cuisine," Dean Fearing has over 20 years of culinary experience and his restaurant is a Dallas staple. Fearing's menus and recipes have been featured in several publications, and he continues to provide excellent meals at his namesake restaurant in Dallas.

Venture to Fearing's Restaurant (located inside The Ritz-Carlton, Dallas) for an impressive menu filled with upscale Texas cuisine favorites and specialties. Also, don't miss the famous Rattlesnake Bar, which offers plenty of vibrant libations including Fearing's signature margarita.

 

Misti Norris – Petra and the Beast

A James Beard Semi-finalist, Food and Wine award-winner and more, Misti Norris is currently one of the most sought-out chefs. Dallas-based, Norris has many years of industry experience and recently opened her restaurant, Petra and the Beast located in East Dallas?.

Petra and the Beast serves fresh and inventive farm-to-table meals. Additionally, chef Misti Norris is always there on Saturdays for an exclusive tasting menu made from locally sourced ingredients.

 

Anastacia Quiñones – José

Awarded Eater Dallas' 2018 Chef of the Year, Dallas-native chef Anastacia Quinoñes has worked in several nationally acclaimed restaurants around the country, before settling into her own at Jose. Currently, Quinoñes is bringing an innovative take on Guadalajara-inspired food at José.  

José is a popular local spot thanks to Quinoñes' bold flavors, inspiring recipes and exquisite drinks. The restaurant compels for great food, friendly gatherings and fun for visitors and locals.

 

Julian Rodarte – Beto & Son

Julian Rodarte is part of the father and son duo over Beto & Son. Rodarte has trained with top chefs, including Dean Fearing, as well as helped develop new foods for various popular food chains. At Beto & Son, Rodarte cooks up delicious "Next-Generation Mexican Food" in the food-centric neighborhood of Trinity Groves.

Stop by Beto & Son when in Dallas. The modern-Mexican eatery serves some of the best chef-to-table bites, like the Tableside Guacamology and chef's fajita skillets. Also don't miss their special Liquid Nitrogen Margarita, and be sure to check in on the Margarita Mile app.

 

Regino Rojas – Revolver Taco Lounge

Regino Rojas is a 2018 James Beard Award Semifinalist, as well as been featured in many food publications. Rojas is set on bringing authentic Mexican flavors at his taco joint Revolver Taco Lounge.

A staple in Dallas, Revolver Taco Lounge in Deep Ellum serves original Mexican eats. With only six tacos on its menu, the colorful taqueria has perfected its flavors and drinks (especially the Revolver Margarita). You can also reserve Purepecha, a separate, private dining space for special offering, prepared family style, for your next visit.

 

Reyna Duoung – Sandwich Hag

Reyna Duoung is a local chef that has grown a following for her tasty and traditional Vietnamese cuisine. Duoung also has a special mission to promote differently abled individuals, while educating through food.

Specializing in Bánh Mi - a Vietnamese sandwich, Sandwich Hag uses the freshest ingredients and preparing everything from scratch. Enjoy four choices of meat along with a variety of Vietnamese specialty drinks like the iced coffee or Boba tea.

 

Kevin Ashade – Pangea

Dallas-born and French-trained chef, Kevin Ashade (known widely as "Chef Kev") has made his mark on the city's culinary scene. Chef Kev has over 10 years of experience and has even competed and won on the TV show "Beat Bobby Flay," and has his own restaurant in Dallas. 

Taste exquisite food at Chef Kev's restaurant and bar, Pangea. The eatery serves upscale globally inspired cuisine from Suya Dusted Jumbo Shrimp and Jamaican beef patties to elote and Chinese chopped salad.
