Best way to stay cool this summer? Making time to visit some of Dallas' top water parks and resorts during your summer getaway.

1. Hurricane Harbor

It's just a short drive from Downtown Dallas and it's definitely worth it. This water park is fit for all ages, with nearly a dozen rides, water slides and a lazy river. Start with a dip at Boogie Beach, a giant wading pool with clear views of several of the rides and slides nearby. Once you work up an appetite, break for Tex-Mex or classic American bites and save room for ice cream to keep cool.
