The Dallas restaurant scene is constantly evolving with new and unique concepts to challenge your taste buds. Here's six new restaurants we can't stop talking about.
1. Revolver Taco Lounge
If you're in the mood for authentic street tacos, Revolver Taco Lounge in Deep Ellum is the perfect spot. Get your favorite meat fixings like carne asada and al pastor topped with cilantro, onions and salsa on homemade corn tortillas. Or be adventurous! Try the Mexican squash or duck taco for a different and flavorful experience.
Order this: House margarita on the rocks. (It's made with freshly squeezed limes daily!)
2. City Hall Bistro
The newest restaurant inside the Adolphus hotel will not disappoint. Quaint, yet elegant, City Hall Bistro is a Southern-European inspired eatery with breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner menus to appease your palate any time of day or occasion.
Order this: The Chef's Paella – the generous dish comes with a rotating selection of meats and seafood, and can be easily shared with a friend.
3. Harlow MXM
This upscale Deep Ellum restaurant offers three dining experiences, including an indoor space, cocktail bar and rooftop patio with great views of the Dallas skyline. Harlow MXM is only open for dinner during the week and brunch on the weekends with a menu that focuses on wood-fired meats and seafood. Enjoy their happy hour specials at Trick Pony, the cocktail bar and try one of the discounted wines, frozen drinks, draughts or specialty cocktails.
Order this: The chorizo churros to start and the MXM burger for dinner.
4. Junction Craft Kitchen
Formerly the location of Kitchen LTO, Chef Harmon brings a new concept to Deep Ellum with a Southern-inspired menu with Asian influences. The dinner menu features nightly specials with seasonal vegetables, hand cut pastas and a fish of the day, along with savory desserts so good you'll want to order some to go. And bring your friends out for a 10-course tasting that's offered every Saturday night to feast on some of the chef's most inventive creations.
Order this: Hot chicken sandwich or gulf shrimp and grits
5. Ferris Wheelers Backyard & BBQ
This Design District barbecue joint has a casual atmosphere that will make you feel right at home. The menu is simple with five smoked meat options that you can order by the pound or in a sandwich. What makes this one special is the roomy backyard with a Ferris wheel, patio games and live music in the evenings.
Order this: Brown sugar glazed ribs and jalapeno bacon cole slaw.
6. Hudson House
Get a taste of the sea at Hudson House in Park Cities, just north of Downtown Dallas. The menu offers chopped salads, sandwiches, pastas, seafood classics and an oyster bar as the highlight! This spot is a little on the pricier side, so make it a date night or a special night out with friends.
Order this: The Hudson's avocado dip as an appetizer to share with the table. It's served with house made ranch chips for dipping.
