We invite you to join us on Saturday, March 5th at the Meyerson Symphony Center for RHAPSODY - Turtle Creek Chorale's Benefit Gala. The full VIP Experience includes open bar receptions, seated dinner, live auction, a private concert by Audra McDonald, and an after party with live band and dessert. Concert Experience tickets also available and include the concert and after party.
Audra McDonald is unparalleled in the breadth and versatility of her artistry as both a singer and an actor. The winner of a record-breaking six Tony Awards, two Grammy Awards, and an Emmy, in 2015 she was named one of Time magazine's 100 most influential people and received a National Medal of Arts - America's highest honor for achievement in the field - from President Barack Obama. She will perform her trademark mix of songs from Broadway, the Great American Songbook, and beyond on the stage of the Eugene McDermott Concert Hall in the Meyerson. Imagine that!
"I am beyond thrilled we are bringing this icon, humanitarian, and enormous talent to Dallas! I just can't think of a single person who is able to reach her level of artistry and combine that with her efforts around equality and fairness, she is the perfect fit to headline Rhapsody," says Sean Baugh, TCC Artistic Director. "The amazing talents of Audra coupled with a spectacular evening of food and entertainment will provide the premiere fundraising event in Dallas – and such a win for the Turtle Creek Chorale and Black Theatre United."
Funds raised through Rhapsody will benefit the musical, cultural, and educational programs of the Turtle Creek Chorale. To honor Audra's performance, TCC will make a donation to Black Theatre United - an organization founded by Audra and other Black artists - to support the work for racial equity and social justice.
Tickets range from $100 to $1250.
