Blake Sings Barbra: The Concert

Next: Tomorrow 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Kalita Humphreys Theater

In the vein of Rufus Wainwright singing the Judy at Carnegie concert, BLAKE SINGS BARBRA is a musical exploration and borderline insane fan tribute to Streisand. Directed by Mary Lane Haskell, Blake takes the audience on a journey through his fan-demonium of Barbra's big 1994 comeback concert. He puts his own unique spin on the iconic songs and patter from the legendary show as he shares the ups and downs of his life as a Junior Star Search winner, former child star, go-go boy and independent singer/songwriter. There are even some hilarious therapy sessions relating to his Barbara "problem", just as Barbra finally returned to the stage in 1994, Blake's house collapsed in the Northridge earthquake and a love affair was born.
