7th Annual James Hillman Symposium

Description

From the earliest years of his work in Archetypal Psychology, Hillman collected clients' dreams with animals in them. The featured book for 2018 is Animal Presences, volume 9 of the Uniform Edition of the Writings of James Hillman, co-published by Spring Publications and the Dallas Institute under Dr. Joanne H. Stroud, Director of Publications. The volume collects Hillman's quintessential thoughts on the enigmatic presence of animals to the human psyche. Internationally known psychologists, anthropologists, and artists, such as Margo McLean, Hillman's widow, and Dr. Mary Vernon, will explore the importance of animals to Archetypal Psychology in talks and informal conversations.

October 26: afternoon programming, includes an evening reception with presenters.

October 27: all-day programming; includes continental breakfast, lunch, and celebration reception.
