Trinity Park Conservancy is seeking input for the design of Harold Simmons Park, the 200-acre park from the Ron Kirk Pedestrian Bridge to the Margaret McDermott Bridge. In this first phase of the community engagement and design process, everyone in the community is invited to attend one or more of the 10 workshops across the city. The interactive, come-and-go format encourages attendees to share their ideas for the Park's design, while also learning about and discussing topics such as: - How community input is vital in the design of the future Park - Timeline of the Park's design and development process - How to stay involved and informed during the planning process - Answers to questions, such as what it takes to build a park in a floodplain and the best way to steward the river ecosystem Each event is family-friendly, free and open to the public. Children's activities and refreshments will be available. Spanish speakers will also be on hand at all workshops.
