The Dallas Symphony, has performed Mahler's Sixth Symphony, Richard Strauss's Suite from Der Rosenkavalier, Wagner's Prelude and Liebestod from Tristan und Isolde, Steven Stucky's Elegy and Korngold's Violin Concerto (with soloist Hilary Hahn) in Eindhoven, Amsterdam, Vienna, Munich, Frankfurt, Hamburg and Hannover. The Dallas Symphony also enjoys its summer residency at the Bravo! Vail festival in Colorado, and in performs in special performances. Jaap Van Zweden was named Musical America Conductor of the Year 2012 in recognition of his critically acclaimed work as Music Director of the Dallas Symphony and as a guest conductor with the most prestigious U.S. orchestras.
