What Makes Us, Chris Bingham's first solo exhibition in 12 years, focuses on the things both past and present that shape who we are.
My artistic journey is deeply rooted in the exploration of memories and their profound impact on our perception of space. Each piece I create serves as a narrative, inviting viewers to engage with layers of meaning that reflect the complexity of human experiences. I employ the interplay of shadows and light to push the boundaries of depth within my paintings, transforming flat surfaces into dynamic environments that resonate with the viewer’s own recollections. My work aims to evoke nostalgia while inviting contemplation, creating a dialogue between the past and the present. In every mural and artwork, I endeavor to construct spaces that inspire connection and reflection, encouraging an intimate interaction with the art.
