3D Scanning and Printing Workshop: Remixing Space and Time
This FREE workshop, led by artist and TCU Instructor Nick Bontrager, will focus on multiple modes for object and texture scanning using mobile phones, photography, and structured light scanning with an Artec Leo 3D scanner. Participants will be introduced to basic and advanced techniques for capturing three-dimensional objects as well as being introduced to possible techniques to use the models in a variety of free visualization software such as Unreal Engine or Blender.
During the workshop, you'll get hands-on experience using Scaniverse, a free mobile app that lets users capture, edit, and share 3D content from their smartphones. If you're able, we recommend downloading the app ahead of time: https://scaniverse.com/.
