Patriotic tunes, children’s activities, and a pyrotechnic show await at Klyde Warren Park for a free, family-friendly event in honor of the Fourth of July. On top of the special activities available for the event, visitors can explore the park’s year-round offerings, including the Sheila and Jody Grant Children’s Park, food trucks, and on-park restaurants.

A special edition of the weekly Main Street Social Saturdays – extended into Main Street Garden. Family-friendly celebration honoring America’s 250th birthday will extend from Main Street Garden along Main Street during Social Saturday and will feature a classic car show, kids activities, a snowball fight, a pie-eating contest with Norma’s Cafe, Fletcher’s Corn Dog & food trucks, family activities, and photo opportunities throughout the park and along Main Street.

This year, Dallas is doing Independence Day a little differently. On July 3, Fair Park teams up with FIFA Fan Festival™ Dallas at Dos Equis Pavilion for a free day that mixes World Cup energy with red, white, and blue tradition. Catch live matches on the big screen, including Colombia vs. Ghana at 8:30 PM, then stick around as fireworks light up the sky right after the final whistle. Wander Fair Park's museums and gardens before kickoff, grab a bite at Rousso at the Old Mill Inn, and settle in for a night that proves Dallas can throw a world-class celebration and an all-American one at the same time. The Village turns the long weekend into one nonstop celebration. Kick things off July 3 at the Boots, Bites & Lights festival, complete with live entertainment, local vendors, lawn games, and a drone show that lights up the night. Then keep the momentum going with poolside parties at Village Beach Club all weekend, from Friday's kickoff to a 2000s-and-2010s throwback that closes it out on the 5th.

Picnic along the parade route to see handmade floats, local organizations, and the children's parade. Typically an hour long, the event ends with a carnival for the community. Featuring games, food, and more, the carnival is a great way to celebrate your independence on Saturday. The carnival closes at 12 PM, giving you plenty of time to head home and ready the grill for a backyard party.
