HIP HOP AND R & B MEET JAZZ ON CANVAS
Local musicians and visual artist create jazz on canvas live at Bonton Farms.
August 1, from 11:30 am to 1 pm, live music and painting will bloom midday at Bonton Farms. Dynamic father and son duo Eric Willis and Josh Willis will serenade guests with hip-hop and R & B inspired jazz while visual artist LaShonda Cooks interprets their notes in real-time with paint. The resulting creation will be raffled off at the end of the performance.
This concert is the third of a summer series pairing live music from different genres with live painting at the South Dallas farm: The Jazz on Canvas series is sponsored by the City of Dallas Office of Arts and Culture and presented free for the public in community partnership with Bonton Farms.
