Things To Do in Dallas - October 19-25

1. Día de los Muertos Festival & Exhibition

Oct. 24 | Latino Cultural Center | Free, 11 a.m.–4 p.m.

The Latino Cultural Center’s annual, family-friendly festival honors the traditions of Día de los Muertos with sugar skull decorating at craft stations, local artisan vendors, and live dance and music on the plaza. Performers include Booker T.’s Latin Ensemble, Dallas Winds, Tenochtitlán Ballet Folklórico, Luna Tropical, Mariachi Quetzal, and Aztec dancers. The festival pairs with the center’s annual altars exhibition, running Oct. 20–Nov. 6, where artists and community organizations create altars celebrating loved ones who have passed.

2. Hallowmoon Market

Oct. 24 | Chimlanh & Sandwich Hag, 1902 Botham Jean Blvd | Free, 4–8 p.m.

Chimlanh and Sandwich Hag, with co-host DAAART, host an annual pop-up market celebrating both the Mid-Autumn Moon Festival and Halloween. The lineup brings chef friends, artists, vendors, and local brewers (Community Beer Co., Smitttox, and Pegasus City among them), plus food from Chef Reyna Duong, Haute Sweets Patisserie, and more. Most vendors are cashless, so bring a Tupperware to load up on treats.

3. Trick-or-Treating in the Park

Oct. 24 | Klyde Warren Park | Free, 5–9 p.m.

Klyde Warren Park’s Corporate Council hosts its sixth annual free trick-or-treating night, drawing a mix of kids, parents, and pets from across North Texas (more than 20,000 guests last year). Expect candy collecting, games and family activities, and costume contests, then settle in for a nighttime Movies in the Park screening of Toy Story 5.

4. Oak Cliff Art Walk

Oct. 23–24 | East Dock, 900 E. Clarendon Dr. | Free, Friday opens 6 p.m.

Now in its sixth year, this community-driven exhibition removes the usual gallery barriers: there are no submission or exhibition fees, and artists keep 100% of their sales. Held in the historic 1915 East Dock warehouse, hosted by Proxy Properties, the weekend transforms the property into a gallery and gathering space for local artists, organizations, and vendors. Guests can browse and buy work directly from the artists and see the collaborative community tapestry built at the Sip & Doodle fundraiser. The slogan says it all: “Where everybody is a somebody.”

5. Thursdays on Tap

Oct. 22 | Perot Museum of Nature and Science | Ticketed, 21+, 6–10 p.m.

The Perot Museum’s after-hours series wraps its 2026 season with one last night of drinks and dinosaurs. Tour every exhibit hall, including the new Soccer: More Than a Game exhibition, with live music, food trucks, craft beer and cocktails from Community Beer Co., and outdoor games. Advance tickets are recommended since nights tend to sell out, and food and drink are an additional cost.

6. The Monsters

Oct. 9–Nov. 1 | Wyly Studio Theatre, AT&T Performing Arts Center | Tickets vary

Dallas Theater Center presents this critically acclaimed Off-Broadway play with heart, humor, and the fierce love only a sibling can give. Lil is a scrappy young fighter ready to enter the ring, and after 16 years apart she reconnects with her brother Big, an accomplished fighter in the local MMA scene. To earn his respect, she has to master her stance, her strikes, and her stubborn streak, but can these two mend their thorny past and find common ground in the ring they both love? Performances run Tuesday through Sunday evenings at 7:30 p.m., with 2 p.m. matinees on Saturdays and Sundays (the schedule’s listed performance dates begin October 20).

7. Halloween Edition Paint Party at Omni Hotel
