The Mocky Horror Christmas Special with "Jack Frost"
Dallas’ only live, interactive, movie-mocking comedy show is bringing back one of its greatest holiday riffs with a brand new, first-ever holiday special!
The Mocky Horror Picture Show (mockyhorror.com) will perform its Christmas Special at 7 pm on Sunday, Dec. 28th at the Texas Theatre (231 W. Jefferson Blvd. in Oak Cliff). The evening will feature a festive mix of comedy sketches, songs, contests, and their classic riff of “Jack Frost” starring Michael Keaton and Kelly Preston.
This special evening starring comedians Danny Gallagher, Stefan G, and Albie Robles will feature a hilarious collection of brand-new comedy sketches, a new live riff of a festival holiday short, all new sketches and songs, and a rare post-Christmas appearance from Santa!
There’s even going to be a snowball fight right in the theater during “Jack Frost’s” pointless snowball fight scene! If you end up with the yellow snowball, you’ll win a festive prize.
Mocky Horror is a live, movie-riffing comedy show in which three comedians perform a written riff of a film in front of a live audience just like Joel and the bots did on “Mystery Science Theater 3000.” The show also features special prompts that appear on the screen during the film so the audience can use props provided by the troupe and yell out lines during the movie, too!
Tickets are $15 per person and can be purchased on thetexastheatre.com or prekindle.com. Tickets will also be available at the box office the night of the show but get yours now before we sell out!
