5月はアジア系アメリカ人および太平洋諸島民の文化遺産月間であり、ダラスもその祝賀行事に参加します。この月間を通して、地元の人々も観光客も、AAPIコミュニティがアメリカのモザイクに加える豊かな伝統、説得力のある歴史、多様な文化に浸る機会があります。アジアの広大な食の伝統に触れる美味しい食事体験から、AAPIコミュニティの深い貢献を紹介する博物館の展示まで、ダラスでは今月、AAPIの遺産を称える様々な方法を提供している。

サムライ・コレクション

アン＆ガブリエル・バルビエ＝ミュラー夫妻が厳選したサムライ・コレクションには、7世紀から19世紀の甲冑、兜、馬具、武器など、豊富な美術品が収められている。美術館の最新展示「アイアン・メン」で、サムライ戦士の芸術と甲冑を発見しよう。ハーウッド地区のセイント・アンズ・レストラン＋バーの上に位置するこのコレクションは、この種のものとしては全米唯一であり、世界でも有数の規模を誇る。毎週土曜日と日曜日の午後11時から5時まで開館しており、一般は無料。サムライ・コレクションの見学予約はsamuraiironmen.comで受け付けている。

カラス・アジア美術館

厳選された展覧会、リサーチとキュレーション、芸術的・教育的プログラム、そしてゲスト体験を通して、アジアの芸術と文化についての学習と対話を刺激し、促進することを目指すクロウ・ミュージアム・オブ・アジア美術館への訪問は、AAPIヘリテージ月間を祝う素晴らしい方法である。現在開催中の展覧会は以下の通り：ダラスを拠点に活動する原田佳奈の作品は、パンデミック（世界的大流行）の最中に制作されたもので、すべての人に平和で明るい未来を鼓舞するものである：ヴィシュヌ：時空を超えて」は、ヒンズー教の神々の中で最も人気があり、パワーのある神々の一人であるヴィシュヌに焦点を当てたもので、ヴィシュヌを保存者として、また宇宙のバランスを回復する能力として讃えている。ダラス・アーツ・ディストリクトにあるクロウ・ミュージアム・オブ・アジアン・アートは、火曜日から日曜日の午後11時から5時まで開館。

Tucked away in Dallas’s historic Deep Ellum, this intimate destination blends MICHELIN-starred Japanese hospitality with the timeless art of Edomae sushi. As Dallas' first MICHELIN Star restaurant, awarded in the inaugural MICHELIN Guide Texas, guests are transported through a seasonal omakase experience crafted by Executive Chef and Owner Tatsuya Sekiguchi. Each course features one or two appetizers, thirteen to fifteen pieces of nigiri, a hand roll, miso soup, and dessert.
