Mocky Horror Picture Show Riffs "X-Men Origins: Wolverine"
Marvel may have the biggest film franchise in the world right now but it had to make some major mistakes to get where it is today. And it did just that back in 2009 when the studio released X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
Hugh Jackman returns to the role that made him a household name (but audiences were using much different names to describe this movie). It attempts to tell the origin story of Mr. Knives-for-Hands and how he got his adamantium claws and general disdain for society but Bub, it makes some bizarre plot choices. Don’t even get us started on what they did to Wade Wilson (Imagine a Batman movie but they take away everything that makes Batman interesting…and yes, that’s technically Batman & Robin but you get it).
That means it’s perfect for Dallas’ only live, interactive, movie mocking comedy show The Mocky Horror Picture Show! Comedians Liz Barksdale, Danny Gallagher and Albie Robles riff on the movie while you watch it and they also throw special prompts on the screen so the audience can join in with them! They write the lines and actions for the audience and even provide them with props to use during the movie.
Here's the best part: This show is free! All you’ve got to do is RSVP on Eventbrite or show up at the door at 9 pm on Friday, June 27 at La Cantera Arts Conservatory and you can join in the mockery with us for the same amount of money you’d be willing to pay to watch X-Men Origins: Wolverine again!
