ホリデーシーズンのイルミネーションほど、郷愁を誘うものはない。子供の頃、私の家族はフォレストグリーンのサバーバンに乗り込み、12月のほぼ毎週末、窓の外を眺めていた。私たちのリーダーである母は、その気分を盛り上げることに熱心で、我が家のツリーはたいていハロウィーンの早い時期に飾られた。車の中でイルミネーションを眺めたのはいい思い出で、今でも自分の家族と続けている伝統だ。この季節の輝きを楽しむためのダラスのお気に入りスポットをいくつかご紹介しよう。
注目すべき近隣地域
子供の頃から今に至るまで、近所のイルミネーションは私のお気に入りだ。住宅のディスプレイがより精巧になったとしても、家の持ち主が心を込めて（そしておそらくは少し不満げに）吊るしたシンプルなストリング・ライトの魅力は格別だ。
ハイランドパーク
市内で最も小さな地区のひとつであるハイランドパークには、プロの展示品で飾られた邸宅から、思わずかじりつきたくなるジンジャーブレッドのような家まで、あらゆるものがある。アームストロング・パークウェイとプレストン・ロードを起点に、心を奪われるようなイルミネーション・ツアーを楽しみたい。私の息子のお気に入りの家には、半ダースの巨大なジャック・イン・ザ・ボックスがあり、頭を揺らしている！ハイランド・パーク・ヴィレッジは、幹から先端まで木が巻かれたショッピングセンターだ。
スイス・アベニュー
While my mother is putting up the tree on Halloween, East Dallas' Swiss Avenue is positively packed with little goblins parading up and down the street begging candy off the festive homeowners. It's so popular that Adele even went trick-or-treating there in 2016 disguised as Jim Carrey's character in "The Mask." For the winter holidays, Swiss Avenue offers a taste of true turn-of-the-century elegance a la "It's A Wonderful Life."
ケスラー・パーク

ギャラリア・ダラス
良いイルミネーション・ツアーには、そびえ立つツリーの1本や2本がつきものだ。少なくとも年に一度は車から降りて、ガレリア・ダラスのツリーを見に行く。高さ95フィートのこのツリーは、屋内のクリスマスツリーとしては世界一の高さを誇る。どの角度から見ても荘厳だが、モールの特徴であるアイスリンクでスケートをしながら見ると、なおさらだ。
クライド・ウォーレン公園
ダウンタウンのクライド・ウォーレン公園は、色とりどりのライトで飾られた鮮やかなツリーと、巨大なスターバースト（星型バースト）のてっぺんで存在感を示している。特大のツリーには特大の装飾が必要で、公園の数ブロック南にあるオムニ・ダラス・ホテルには、漆塗りの赤いボールのオーナメントがいくつも飾られている。直径10フィート、1つあたり1,200ポンドの大きさで、毎年クレーンでホテルの芝生に置かれる。
市庁舎前広場
Join the City of Dallas for the annual "Deck the Plaza City Hall Lights" event, typically held the first Friday in December. Enjoy a full program with live entertainment on stage! Groove to upbeat tunes and watch a diverse array of talented performances. Families are invited to come and enjoy free fun activities including meeting Santa and Mrs. Claus, fireworks, carriage rides, mini train rides, bounce houses, a City staff holiday tree decoration and exhibit, and much more! Don't miss the switch to light the 50-foot-tall holiday tree for families to enjoy and take pictures.

In addition to thousands of twinkling lights in the trees, Holiday at the Arboretum presents the magnificent The 12 Days of Christmas outdoor exhibit. Twelve 25-foot Victorian-style gazebos depict scenes from the traditional carol, from Twelve Drummers Drumming to a Partridge in a Pear Tree. I guarantee you've never seen anything like it. You can't miss the 50-foot musical Christmas tree with more than 40,000 lights and the Christmas Village that features holiday performances by local musicians and artists. SNOWDAYウィンター・ポップアップ
ソーシャルメディア・インフルエンサーのパラダイス、ガレリア・ダラスのSNOWDAY's Wondrous Adventureは、ユニークな写真撮影の背景として作られた11のホリデーテーマの部屋を旅行者を案内する。伝統的なクリスマス・ライト・ディスプレイではないが、SNOWDAYの各コーナーでは何が見られるかわからない。

ダラス動物園ライトアップ
Neighborhood lights will always have my heart, but my son loves the magic of massive, immersive lighting displays. After the animals head in for the evening, the Dallas Zoo transforms into a winter wonderland with over one million twinkling lights called Dallas Zoo Lights. Walk through realistic silk-covered lanterns in the shape of your favorite animals and enjoy a mesmerizing light show featuring over a million twinkling lights that adorn most of the zoo. This festive wildlife event will be held from November 14, 2025 to January 4, 2026.
