THE HARWOOD ARMS

Arguably the best “footie pub” in Dallas, the Harwood sits conveniently between downtown and Uptown - and is always packed on matchdays. The official home of Chelsea (and Bayern Munich) supporters in the Big D, it has indoor and outdoor watching spaces – and one of the best brunch menus in town. (Just beware the quirky “Wheel of Misfortune” behind the bar: once that starts spinning, heads swiftly follow).

Not to be confused with its sister pubs in Addison and Colleyville, The Londoner in Mockingbird Station is big, loud and stuffed with soccer memorabilia. There are so many screens here that every match is shown, in competing corners of the bar. Fans of all persuasions come here but technically this is Arsenal territory, with North Texas “Gooners” loudly cheering on the pride of North London together.

A popular hangout in a quaint wood-framed house on lively McKinney Avenue, the Blackfriar is hard to miss with all the flags fluttering outside. But the only colors that matter, as far as Premier League fans are concerned, are those of Manchester United. This is the official home of the Dallas Reds – who enjoy their football right here in this Uptown favorite, with its hearty pub grub and relaxed vibe.

A cozy, unpretentious neighborhood sports bar in Far North Dallas, The Irishman is serious about its Spurs loyalty – and we’re not talking about San Antonio’s NBA team. This pub is filled with Tottenham Hotspur scarves, shirts and framed photos, as well as dozens of the team’s diehard fans on matchdays. Come for the cheeky banter and join the throng – just don’t wear an Arsenal shirt whatever you do.

THE OLD CROW

A legendary Dallas dive bar, The Old Crow enjoys iconic status on Lower Greenville Avenue - the walkable, tree-lined East Dallas street that is home to some of the city’s best nightlife. Early on Saturday and Sunday mornings this is one of the few establishments open, thanks to the loyal Premier League fans who flock here for the gams – particularly the Dallas Original Fulham Supporters Club. One of Fulham’s greatest ever players, Clint Dempsey, is from Texas after all.

NFL Equivalent: Jacksonville Jaguars: Both franchises are owned by billionaire Shahid Khan, and both tend to be overshadowed by their noisy neighbors, while quietly building for the future.
Order this for matchday breakfast: It’s BYOF at the Old Crow, which is no problem with the awesome Abby’s Bagels next door. (The ‘Dallasite’ sandwich here is a must order: egg, bacon, avocado and jalapeño spread on a jalapeño cheddar bagel).

Dallas’ latest British pub is so new that it hadn’t been claimed by a supporters’ group at the time of writing, but surely it’s only a matter of time before Liverpool or Manchester City fans stake their claim. Until then, it’s a brilliant spot for football watching of every flavor, from the cinema-size screen in the front room to the cozy leather armchairs in the wood-paneled nook at the back.
