Bey Yoga is a yoga studio owned and taught by Andrea Bey, a Dallas-based entrepreneur. As a proud breast cancer survivor, she aims to create an inclusive space that prioritizes functional movement for everyone. The classes welcome all fitness levels and body types. The mission of Bey’s studio is to decolonize fitness spaces, promote empowerment and make the community feel safe and supported.

They love to get creative with their sweet bread by making fun designs and shapes on their conchas, like roses and the current favorite, turtle-shaped conchas. They also offer classic options like marranitos (pig-shaped bread), cuernitos (bull’s horn), pan de muerto (bread of the dead) and polvorones (like a Mexican sugar cookie).

Bree Clarke is the first Black woman to own and operate a plant shop in Dallas with a mission to grow a diverse community through plants and culture – right in the heart of Uptown. Clarke and her husband want to spread ‘plant joy’ to all guests who walk through their doors.
They created a space deeply rooted in diversity where people can come together and root for each other. Guests can find a lush selection of houseplants, decorative planters, greenery, gardening accessories and nature-inspired goods. They also host fun events like “Plants and Prosecco.”

Ruthie’s Cafe
Ruthie’s Cafe, located in South Dallas, is an eatery stemmed from the mission-driven, gourmet grilled cheese food truck, Ruthie’s Fueled by Good. The cafe functions as a nonprofit called The Good Foundation, which supports underserved and overlooked communities through St. Philip’s School and Community Center.
The woman behind this endeavor is Dallas philanthropist Ashlee Kleinert, who values compassion, collaboration, resource and community. Ruthie’s fuels its customers with a delicious menu of grilled cheese sandwiches and other cheesy, delicious sandwiches, as well as an extensive coffee and drinks menu.
