Aronson Cello Festival

Description

On June 24th through June 30th, an extraordinary music festival honoring the legacy of a Dallas-based teacher named Lev Aronson will be held at Southern Methodist University (SMU) at the Meadows School of the Arts. The Aronson Cello Festival, which is celebrating its sixth season this year, attracts many of the world's leading musicians and artists.

This season, we honor "Women and Classical Music" as our theme. The author of the critically acclaimed book "The Lost Cellos of Lev Aronson,"  Francis Brent, will speak at two special events. The festival also features the work of the Los Angeles Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Ty Kim, who has profiled many of Mr. Aronson's students and family members in a series of short films called "Tell Me A Story About Lev Aronson."  His short films will make you laugh, cry, think, reflect and inspire.
