Conducted in our historic Stroud House and the intimate space first built as a high-end bookstore, Classics at Cour Regard has traveled the globe, showcasing the American classic Moby-Dick, the Japanese Take of Genji, the French favorite Count of Monte Cristo, the South American One Hundred Years of Solitude, another American classic The Great Gatsby, the sprawling collection of stories in The Arabian Nights, The Brothers Karamazov from Russia, and Salman Rushdie's Midnight's Children. Part performance, part scholarly exploration, with music, dance, food and other features, Classics Cour Regard offers a 21st century perspective on the world's most ionic works of literature.
