This concert will take place directly after the InterNational Prisoners' Family Conference. Addressing the human rights crisis of mass incarceration and bringing awareness to the traumatic affects of its impact on the family, the concert will be held the final day of the 11th annual InterNational Prisoners' Family Conference. Die Jim Crow The project began in 2013, when artist/activist Fury Young started a multimedia record label for formerly and currently incarcerated musicians: the first of its kind in the United States. InterNational Prisoner's Family Conference Founded in 2009 by Carolyn Esparza, the conference is the first and still the only organization of its kind to address the full impact of mass incarceration on the family and community. Our Purpose:?To heighten awareness and the enhancement of the work being done by both organizations to strengthen all persons affected by the trauma of incarceration.?
