Hip Hop Meets Jazz on Canvas
June 21, from 11:30 am to 1 pm, live music and painting will be served midday at Bonton Farms. Dynamic father and son duo Eric Willis and Josh Willis will serenade guests with hip-hop inspired jazz while visual artist LaShonda Cooks interprets their notes in real-time with paint. The resulting creation will be raffled off to an audience member at the end of the performance. Join us for music, art and exploration of all that's growing at Bonton Farms, including goodies for purchase from their restaurant and coffee shop on-site.
The June concert is the second of a monthly series pairing live music from different genres with live painting at the South Dallas farm: The Jazz on Canvas series is sponsored by the City of Dallas Office of Arts and Culture and free for the public.
