Cvent recently ranked Dallas as No. 5 for the best destination for meetings in its list of Top 50 Meeting Destination in the U.S. for 2019, making Dallas the only Texas city in the top 10. Cvent also presented VisitDallas the 2019 Business Intelligencer Award, which recognizes innovators in the hospitality industry for business insights.

As a top visitor and meeting destination, Dallas offers unparalleled experiences and delivers on every event need. And with this year's lineup of new hotels, entertainment venues and more, here is why Dallas is the perfect city for your next event.

1. Accessibility

With two major airports providing direct flights from more than 200 destinations, getting to Dallas has never been easier. Plus being centrally located; Dallas is less than four hours by air from almost anywhere in the U.S. And once in Dallas, you can enjoy easy and convenient transportation on Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART). The 170-mile light rail system offers fast rides to Downtown, Uptown, Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, Dallas Love Field Airport and more. For an added bonus, Dallas also has free transportation options like the Dallas Streetcar and McKinney Avenue Trolley, which take you to some of the best neighborhoods and attractions in the city.

2. Accommodations

With nearly 230 hotels calling Dallas home, there's been a boom in hotel supply. Since the start of 2018, 12 new hotels have opened and there are more than 40 hotel projects in the works, adding more than 6,000 hotel rooms to the city. And with more than 14,000 in the Downtown Dallas area, Dallas provides accommodations to fit even the most challenging meeting needs.

3. Affordability

Dallas is affordable for all your meeting desires, whether your meeting is for 10 to 10,000 people. In a "right-to-work" state, Dallas has low labor rates that are 27 percent lower than the national average. Also, the cost of doing business in Dallas is 7 percent lower than the national average, which means less cost for production without compromising your meeting's quality or experience.

4. Entertainment

With more than 20 vibrant entertainment districts – all with distinct feels, Dallas has what you need to provide your meeting attendees with unforgettable moments and experiences. Here, your attendees can enjoy everything from world-class dining and endless shopping to world-renowned museums that will leave even the most diverse groups pleasantly surprised and satisfied.
