Drag Brunch in Dallas
Get to werk with our list of favorite brunch outings.
With one of the largest LGBTQ+ populations in the country, Dallas has become a hub for LGBTQ+ institutions, festivals and venues. Not to mention, Oak Lawn is one of the best gayborhoods in Texas (and recently added Dallas' first rainbow crosswalks!). The latest trend in the community is one that will surely stick (or dance) around: Drag Brunches! Here's where to find them.
Commons Club
The Design District's Commons Club inside Virgin Hotels Dallas isn't a place to shy away from high glamourous entertainment. If you happen to stop by any first and third Sunday of the month, you'll catch Jenni P. and friends hosting a recurring Drag Brunch series, produced by Drag Star Diva. Hosted at the hotel since Sept. 2020, the brunches take place inside the Virgin Hotels Dallas and aptly named the Last Virgin Drag Brunch.
The bimonthly events take place in The Kitchen, an open-style concept and dining room lead by Chef Jonah Friedmann. Once you've arrived, order from a locally sourced menu, which includes craft cocktails and an exclusive French meets Texan-style cuisine – so be ready for a taste of fabulous. You can make reservations here.
Cedar Springs Tap House
Dive in and get loud at Hotmess Hangover, the latest Drag Brunch takeover at Cedar Springs Tap House by Jenni P. Along with high heels and fantastic wigs, the show at Cedar Springs Tap House will also fill your weekends with chicken and waffles, loaded totchos and plenty of brunch cocktail specials. This show takes place on the second and fourth Sunday of every month. View the entire menu here.
Mr. Misster
Every Saturday, Jenni P. not only hosts brunch at Commons Club but also hosts a drag brunch at Mr. Misster. This crafty cocktail bar transforms from a late-night hot spot to an upscale setting for brunch, serving up Mimosa Towers along with live DJ sets.
Other drag events to keep an eye out for:

- Pop Up Drag Show Vol 1. at Deep Ellum Distillery hosted by Krista De La Rosa. Not only does Krista host an exciting drag show, head to their social channels to find "The Krista De La Rosa Show," an exciting talk show discussing food, music, news, and all things LGBTQ! They are live every Thursday at 7 p.m.
- The Cougar Cabaret in The Red Room of The Round-Up Saloon. Gather for world-class elegance mixed with an exciting lineup at this western-themed bar. Fun fact: it was voted Best Gar Bar by Readers' Choice and was one of the first bars to book Lady Gaga before her rise to fame.
