This ever-expanding cinema chain originated in Austin and now has two locations in Dallas; there’s one in the Cedars neighborhood and another in Lake Highlands. Die-hard movie fans keep coming back because of their strict cinemagoing policy, reserved seating and wide selection of food and drink. Check out screening events for mainstream flicks, indie movies, oldies and cult classics.
Located in Oak Cliff, the Texas Theatre is not just any old cinema, but is also a Dallas landmark. This is the historic site where Harvey Lee Oswald, the man who assassinated John F. Kennedy, was arrested. Appropriately, the theater is now home primarily to horror films and the classics. You can also catch the occasional art house film or concert. And don’t forget to pop into the bar for a cocktail before you leave!
