Alamo Drafthouse - Dallas/Fort Worth
This ever-expanding cinema chain originated in Austin and now has two locations in Dallas; there’s one in the Cedars neighborhood and another in Lake Highlands. Die-hard movie fans keep coming back because of their strict cinemagoing policy, reserved seating and wide selection of food and drink. The Texas Theatre
Located in Oak Cliff, the Texas Theatre is not just any old cinema, but is also a Dallas landmark. This is the historic site where Harvey Lee Oswald, the man who assassinated John F. Kennedy, was arrested. Appropriately, the theater is now home primarily to horror films and the classics. You can also catch the occasional art house film or concert. And don’t forget to pop into the bar for a cocktail before you leave!
Highland Park Village Theatre
Intimate in size and elegant in feel, Highland Park Theatre is a great escape from large and over-crowded movie theaters. Alongside screenings of the most talked about Hollywood movies, you’ll have access to free valet and a bar and lounge on the ground floor. Make it a date night by adding on dinner at a nearby restaurant – there’s various option in Highland Park Village, including the popular Bistro 31. Highland Park Village is a member of Visit Dallas.
Inwood Theatre

This art deco-themed cinema is a funky spot in Inwood Village that has been bringing entertainment to the public for years. Be sure to grab a drink from the bar and catch a movie in the screening lounge, a giant theater full of comfy couches to cuddle with your person.
