With an abundance of hotels in the city, Dallas delivers when it comes to providing impressive options for accommodations. And while it's no secret that Dallas has seen an uptick in hotel development in recent years,  there are many notable properties that have been a part of the Dallas hospitality scene for years.

Here's a look at one of Dallas' most well-known hotels, the Renaissance Dallas Hotel.

Did you know

The Renaissance Dallas Hotel, part of the Distinctive Premium Brand within the Marriott portfolio, has long been celebrated as one of the most recognizable landmark buildings in Dallas, with its unique elliptical shape and diagonal roofline. And as a recent Marriott Distinctive Premium Hotel of the Year, the hotel has plenty to offer, including abundant meeting space, impressive views of the city and Renaissance Club Lounge access. Additionally, the hotel has been awarded TripAdvisor Traveler's Choice designation, bestowed to the top 10 percent of hotels worldwide.

Guests and meeting planners alike will appreciate the hotel's GBAC STAR certification – a performance-based accreditation program that helps facilities demonstrate a commitment to protocols to combat biohazards and infectious disease.

Additionally, the hotel's prime location in the heart of the Dallas Medical District, close access to Dallas Market Center and proximity to the Design District provides a gateway to the Downtown Dallas area, with dozens of restaurants, family-friendly attractions, and cultural institutions along the way.

Meeting planners will find the hotel provides ample space to accommodate groups of various sizes. Along with plentiful meeting rooms and breakout spaces, the hotel's 16,000 sq. ft. Grand Ballroom is LEED Certified, and more than 75 percent of all the meeting space in the hotel offers serene natural light. One of the most impressive spaces is the City View Room and Terrace, offering 6,000 square feet of floor-to-ceiling windows and 5,000 square feet of outdoor space, all with spectacular views of the city.
