How is sustainability being incorporated into the new convention center?

Sustainability is a key priority in the redevelopment of the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center Dallas. What is the emergency evacuation procedures with a vertical campus design?

The vertical campus is designed with multiple protected stairwells, clearly marked exit routes and life-safety systems on every floor to ensure safe and efficient evacuation. In an emergency, occupants exit via stairwells to ground-level assembly areas, supported by trained staff, emergency communications and coordination with local first responders. Areas of refuge are also incorporated to assist individuals who may need additional support.
