Take a Bite Out of These DARTable Eats in Dallas

Using this three-step process, you'll find that some of Dallas' most delicious eats are within your forks reach when you ride DART.

Step 1: Hop on.

Step 2: Hop off.

Step 3: Chow down.


So, maybe there's four steps but we're not worried about that, are we? Check out our own menu that includes some of the most DARTable dishes in town.

Serious Pizza – Deep Ellum
Route: Green Line to Deep Ellum or Baylor Hospital Station

If you're looking for a slice of pizza that is larger than your head, this is the spot for you. Known for its laid back, funky vibe, Serious Pizza has quickly become a main stay in Deep Ellum. It's not uncommon to see a line out the door most days, especially if you find yourself looking for late night bites. So get there early and come hungry!

Stock and Barrel – Bishop Arts District
Route: Bus Route 405, 542 or 722 (DLink) to Davis at Haines

Did someone say fried potatoes?! Chef Jon Stevens has created an exciting dining destination that is an extension of the buzzing neighborhood known as Bishop Arts. The eclectic menu combines full-flavored entrees, fun shareables, unique craft cocktails and a selection of sweets to close out the experience. This is comfort food at its finest!

Mama's Daughter's Diner – North Dallas
Route: Green Line to Royal Station

Can you keep a secret? Good! Because Mama's Daughter's Diner just may give your Mama a run for her money. Since 1958, this Dallas staple has churned out stick-to-your-ribs comfort food like chicken-fried steak, pot roast, biscuits and gravy and coconut meringue pie.

El Paraiso Taqueria – Cockrell Hill
Route: Bus Route 11 or 444 at Jefferson & Sunnyside

No it's not a mirage, but you may have to pinch yourself once you realize you have arrived at a true taco paradise. And don't let the old school drive-up storefront fool you. Order up your favorite tacos that are lovingly prepped by hand and served at a price that opens the door for a second helping.

Haute Sweets Patisserie – Lake Highlands
Route: Bus Route 428 to Northwest Hwy. at Thurgood

Haute Sweets Patisserie is more like an art gallery than a bakery. Walk in and you'll be greeted by two display cases full of edible works of art that are guaranteed to put a smile on your face. You'll find something to suit even the sweetest of teeth, including guilt-free vegan and paleo treats.
