This weekend (Nov. 30-Dec. 2) is jam-packed with festive activities that everyone will love. If you're in Dallas this weekend or planning on making a visit, don't miss out on all the holiday lights and festivities the city has this holiday season.

Friday, Nov. 30

Start with a festive dinner in Downtown Dallas. Go for elevated French cuisine at Bullion or European eats at City Hall Bistro, located inside the newly renovated Adolphus Hotel. If you're traveling with the family, treat them to the holiday lunch buffet at The Zodiac in the flagship Neiman Marcus. This year's iconic buffet menu features Neiman Marcus classics like chicken salad and mandarin orange soufflé along side main entrees like prime rib, glazed smoked ham and roasted butternut squash.

After dinner, head to City Hall for the inaugural Deck the Plaza event, presented by The City of Dallas and VisitDallas. This family-friendly event will include interfaith speakers, musical entertainment by Dallas Winds and American Idol alumni Jason and Michael Castro of the CASTRO band. There will also be a special appearance by Linda Grey from the Dallas TV show, holiday treats, a visit from Santa and the lighting of a 40-foot tree! The event is from 4:30-8 p.m.

Saturday, Dec. 1

Grab a cup of a coffee and quick bite to eat, then make your way to Dallas Holiday Parade kicking off at 10 a.m. The parade route begins at Commerce and Houston streets with festive floats, marching bands and entertainment along the route. The parade is free to attend, but tickets for bleacher seats are available to purchase.

Break for lunch in the Dallas Arts District at Savor Gastropub or Yolk, before spending the evening at Klyde Warren Park for their Holiday Show and Tree Lighting, from 2-6 p.m. This one is definitely a fit for the kids – they'll enjoy photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus, face painting, live music and even snow! The night will end with a grand tree lighting.

Once you see the tree light up, walk a few blocks over to the Dallas Arts District for Reliant Lights Your Holidays. AT&T Performing Arts Center will illuminate with stunning LED lights and a fireworks show. There will also be a holiday concert featuring award-winning group En Vogue and RaeLynn of The Voice. The event kicks off at 5:30 p.m.

Sunday, Dec. 2

End the weekend on a high note with a little Christmas shopping at NorthPark Center, one of Dallas' premier shopping destination for both high-end and budget-friendly shopping. If you're bringing the kiddos along, stop by Trains at NorthPark and Scrooge Puppet Theatre or check the schedule for many other holiday events.

Complete your shopping adventure at Galleria Dallas, located just a few miles northwest of NorthPark Center. The new Santa's Village will feature a winter wonderland and photos with Santa. See the country's tallest indoor Christmas tree and take a spin on the ice rink!
