For a touch of modern Italia: Americano
There are just not enough good ol' fashioned Italian restaurants around anymore, so when they also do brunch, you know you're in for a treat. With a casual 60s retro Italian charm, the bright and bubbly décor at Americano will make you smile even before you've ordered. Start with the house-made Nutella-filled doughnuts - the kids will go nuts for them. The torta rustica, topped with fresh eggs, prosciutto and provolone, or their ciabatta French toast topped with almonds, lemon-whipped ricotta and blueberry maple syrup will keep that smile going. If you're looking for an after-breakfast cocktail while the kids are enjoying their fill, try the Bergamot paired with earl grey gin, lemon and orange marmalade. Brunch is offered Sunday 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
For space to free-range to play and eat: The Lot
Families love a place with space, and the Lot features that along with plenty of other family favorites, a packed Tex-Mex brunch menu, patio sitting, dog-friendly areas, live music and games, making it a great place to hang on a weekend. For sports fans and bottomless mimosas: Republic Texas Tavern
Here's another name of a restaurant which doesn't immediately scream "brunch!", but you'll be forgiven for thinking anything with 'tavern' in the name could be just another pub. While it does serve a fantastic selection of beer, this place also tops the list for the most surprising family destination for brunch. Republic is popular with families looking for a space to relax on the weekends thanks to an upscale tavern-chic setting with TVs, leather booths, and a traditional brunch menu that will make your mouth water. There's also a kids brunch menu for the little ones including pancakes and chicken tenders. Bottomless mimosas and Bloody Mary bar give this little gem the final check of approval. Brunch is offered Sunday 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
