Dallas businesses have been allowed to resume or expand operations with restrictions as outlined in the governor's guidelines.
Per Governor Abbott, beginning Wednesday, March 10:
- All Texas businesses of any type can open at 100 percent capacity.
- The state-wide mask mandate will be rescinded.
- Businesses may still limit capacity and/or implement their own safety protocols. For a crowd-sourced list of local business protocols, see here. We recommend checking with establishments before visiting to confirm capacity and mask mandates. (List created by Oh Hey Dallas.)

Safety Star: Dallas hospitality community leads the nation by seeking GBAC STAR cleanliness accreditation
Meetings and events are vital to our businesses and we're looking forward to the day when we can see our friends and colleagues face-to-face again. In Dallas, that day is near, and the Dallas hospitality community is preparing for visitors' arrival by achieving the highest sanitation and safety standards.
In May, VisitDallas announced an initiative to lead the nation by becoming the first destination to receive Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC) STAR accreditation designating Dallas hotels, the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center Dallas (KBHCCD) and selected city venues as sanitary and safe. Currently, more than 20 properties, the KBHCCD, Dallas LoveField Airport and DFW International airport have earned accreditation.
VisitDallas is closely monitoring the news surrounding COVID-19, and we're here for you and your clients during this trying time. We will work diligently to make your meeting a success. When the time comes, Dallas will be ready to welcome you. We look forward to being strong destination partners during your future meetings and events in Dallas.
