VisitDallas is an independent, not-for-profit organization that promotes Dallas as a business and leisure destination.
Our mission is to market Dallas as the ideal convention and visitor destination to the regional, national and international marketplace and to favorably impact the Dallas economy through meetings and tourism. Award-winning VisitDallas supports the business needs of our clients and works to ensure the city fulfills its promises and garners repeat bookings.
Our efforts have significantly increased awareness of Dallas locally, nationally and internationally, and have resulted in Dallas being recognized as one of the top ten convention destinations in the nation and part of a region that is the No. 1 visitor destination in the state of Texas.
Conventions are important to any major city, bringing in millions of dollars each year. Thanks to the dynamic efforts of VisitDallas, Dallas is one of the nation's premier destinations for both big conventions and visitors.
More than 27 million people visit Dallas every year, spending $4.7 billion and generating a total economic impact of $8 billion. These travelers support our hotels, our attractions and our restaurants, and they support jobs. In total, tourism supports 61,000 jobs and offsets the tax burden for Dallas households. Under the direction of President and CEO Phillip Jones, VisitDallas is working to make those numbers even bigger.
