Formed in 2014 and serving as a division of VisitDallas, the goal of the Dallas Sports Commission (DSC) is to pursue amateur, grassroots, collegiate and professional championship events and competitions, positioning Dallas as the premier sports destination. Over the years, the DSC has brought some pretty big events to town including the 2018 NFL Draft, NCAA Men and Women's Basketball Regional and Final Four games, NHL Draft, Mexico National Team matches, and most recently, the Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic.

Here's just a few events the DSC is supporting in 2020 – perfect for your group or meeting attendee to check out while they're in the city:

NCA All-Star Nationals – Feb. 28 to March 1
The largest cheerleading competition in the country hosts more than 25,000 participants inside the Kay Bailey Convention Center Dallas.

NCAA Women's Basketball Dallas Regional – March 27 and 29
See who will advance to the NCAA Women's Final Four at the Dallas Regional.  Four teams will be vying for a spot in the championship at SMU's Moody Coliseum.

Dr Pepper Dallas Cup – April 5-12
Recognized as the most prestigious international youth tournament, the event has a long history of bringing some of the biggest names in the sport to Dallas.

AT&T Byron Nelson – May 7-10
The Dallas stop on the PGA Tour is held at the Trinity Forest Golf Club. The week-long event also features various fan experiences like the AT&T Fan Zone and the Katy Trail Ice House Pavilion.

State Fair Classic – Sept. 24
A classic HBCU college football matchup between Grambling State University and Prairie View A&M University, the game is played annually during the State Fair of Texas at the Cotton Bowl in Fair Park.

And they're just getting started! To celebrate the DSC anniversary, they've launched a year-long initiative to commemorate the occasion. At the beginning of each month through Sept. 2020, sports fans have the opportunity to win a monthly experience package. Packages include, tickets, merchandise, hotel stays, dinners and more! Check their website for more details and how to win.
