The Edge of Texas, hosted by Texas Monthly and presented by VisitDallas, is an inaugural event that will showcase the best of the Texas landscape through business, arts, entertainment, food and more. Enjoy a full weekend of festivities with three distinct experiences on Nov. 10-11. Choose a one-day pass or experience it all! Here's what to expect.


It's a party
Nov. 10 – 7 p.m.
Fashion Industry Gallery

The Edge of Texas kicks off Friday night with a party celebrating the edge of cuisine, style, art and music. Enjoy great dishes, desserts and cocktails from the best chefs and mixologists around the state, featuring Junior Borges of the Joule Hotel as a headliner. Check out the various innovative spaces like the fragrance bar and live art instillation, and dance along to great music by Latin DJ collective Peligrosa and Cruz Ortiz.


And it's storytelling
November 11 – 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
The Joule Hotel & The Eye

A variety of speakers will take the stage for Q&A sessions and interviews on subjects central to the state of Texas. Pick your favorite topics from medicine to technology to arts and criminal justice, and immerse yourself into a day of storytelling from the edge of thought leadership. Mark Cuban, Dallas Police Chief U. Renee Hall, Jack Ingram, David Lowery and many more will discuss a variety of topics central to the state of Texas and its future. And it's a night of live music
Nov. 11 – 7pm
Longhorn Ballroom

Experience a night of music that will re-imagine the Texas frontier with a futuristic campfire theme. The evening will include musical performances by Sarah Jaffe and Shinyribs, live fire-cooking demonstrations from leading Texas restaurateurs and chefs, and a pop-up bar Midnight Rambler. Cap off the weekend with this exciting event!
