Dallas is the place to be to ring in 2018 and you're in luck because there's tons of music-filled and cocktail-fueled ways to say goodbye to the year of the rooster. So, dress in your most festive attire and get ready to dance (and drink) the night away as we celebrate the New Year.

Start the Party Early

The annual Lights All Night event is starting the celebrations early this year with the festival being on Dec. 29-30 at Dallas Market Hall. The two-day EDM festival includes spectacular light shows, confetti cannons and DJ tunes from big names like Bassnectar, Porter Robinson and many more.

See the Fireworks

This year's AT&T Streaming Lights at Reunion Tower is the "it" event for New Year's Eve in Dallas. The 360-degree lightshow will feature more than 4,000 special effects with an eight-minute show (choreographed to music) that will light up the sky when the clock strikes midnight. The tower isn't actually open during the light show but various watch parties will be held close by. The Saint Rocco's rooftop party in Trinity Groves is the official host location to see the fireworks, and your ticket includes an Italian dinner, champagne toast and an intimate concert with Jackopierce.

If you skip the parties, you can get the best views of the show from the West side of the Trinity River, along the levees and Trinity Overlook Park. Can't make it out? The show will also be televised on NBC 5/KXAS-TV so you can enjoy the fireworks in the comfort of your home.

Attend a Hotel Party

Stop by the Sheraton Hotel for The Art of Celebration, a Dec. 31 celebration featuring live R&B and jazz music, hors d'oeuvres and a champagne toast. In similar fashion, The NYE Ball at the Crowne Plaza Hotel will include three floors of fun, each with a different theme, music from Dallas' top DJs, drinks and games like jumbo Jenga, corn hole and beer pong. Dallas' most successful cover band, Emerald City, will host its annual New Year's Eve party, Rock the '18, at the Hilton Anatole complete with all your favorites 70s hits, dinner and drinks.

Spend NYE with the Kids

Instead of keeping the kids up until midnight, take them to the Dallas Arboretum for Happy "Noon" Year's Eve! This kid-friendly event will be filled with fun activities, arts and crafts, music and a celebratory "ball drop" at noon.

Ring in the New Year with a Brew

Head to Noble Rey Brewing Co. for Brew Year's Eve for a night of beer, food and music. Enjoy all your favorite beers, pizza from Social Pie, sweet desserts, great music and a commemorative glass to take home after the champagne toast. Or add some video games to the mix at the NYE Cidercade Bash. The Cidercade, an arcade and bar in the Design District with over 150 arcade games and 24 ciders on tap, is offering free play on all games and Slow Bone will bring barbecue to pair with your midnight toast.

Enjoy a Classic NYE Performance

If going out on New Year's Eve is not your thing, catch a classical symphony performance at the special New Year's Eve production by the Dallas Symphony Orchestra at the Meyerson Symphony Center. Enjoy pieces from composers like Antonín Dvorák, Charles-Camille Saint-Saëns, J. Strauss and more. Admission to the concert includes a champagne toast at intermission.
