BEFORE YOU ARRIVE
Plan, plan plan.
Virgos are skilled researchers, so a top-notch itinerary is a must. Use our themed itineraries – based on neighborhoods, activities or interests – as inspiration or come up with your own. Start by deciding where to stay (more on this in a minute), which new restaurants are calling your name and the attractions you must see.
Stay close to the action.
Any well-traveled Virgo knows the benefits to picking a hotel close to everything on your wish list. If the Dallas arts scene is calling your name, hotels close to the Dallas Arts District like Fairmont Dallas or Hall Arts Hotel will be steps away from magnificent art. Need a hotel with all the wellness amenities? Check out Downtown's Thompson Hotel or Uptown's Hotel Crescent Court for luxurious spa experiences.
WHAT TO DO
Leave time for vitality.
Virgos rule health and wellness over all the other signs, so investing time and space for a wellness adventure while in Dallas is to be expected. Check the activities calendar at Klyde Warren Park for free fitness classes on the lawn or use our list of self-care spots to indulge in a moment of reflection. And because wellness comes in all forms, it might just take a vegan restaurant to recharge your soul.
Stay true to your Earth sign.
Further your connection with Mother Earth by exploring Dallas on foot! While walkable neighborhoods can be found all throughout the city, Virgos may gravitate toward the greener pastures Dallas offers. Spend an afternoon surrounded by nature and beauty at the Dallas Arboretum or go for a hike through the Trinity Audobon Center in South Dallas.
Deepen your creativity.
Be inspired by the Dallas arts scene, starting with a trip to the Dallas Arts District. The district is home to several museums that offer free admission, as well as plenty of ways to enjoy free public art. Outside of the city center, check out the Bishop Arts Theatre Center. The South Dallas favorite puts on a monthly jazz series, as well as an on-site art gallery, speaker series and theatre performances.
WHAT TO EAT
Get a taste of Texas and beyond.
A Virgo tends to make any trip an educational one and is inclined to learn as much about the local culture as possible – and we recommend doing so by making a food trek through the city. For the non-Texan, a proper introduction to Dallas barbeque is a must, so a stop at Bishop Art's Lockhard BBQ or Deep Ellum's Pecan Lodge is needed.
Those familiar with our local cuisine might be more willing to explore all the worldly flavors Dallas has to offer. Get a taste of Italy at Jimmy's Food Store in East Dallas, known for its meatball sandwiches, or savor the best of Spain at tapas spots like Enrique Tomas.
