For over 40 years, The Anita Martinez Ballet Folklorico has provided diverse and educational programming through the study of traditional Mexican dance forms. A longtime resident company of the AT&T Performing Arts Center, they are also one of the most prestigious Folklorico companies in the region, so be sure to catch a performance when you’re in town.
The Dallas Black Dance Theatre (DBDT) is the oldest, continuously operating professional dance company in Dallas. The mission of the company is to create and produce high-level modern contemporary dance and to express a diverse and multi-ethnic background. DBDT: Encore! serves the local community, performing their annual season in the Moody Performance Hall.
Launched in Dallas in 2011, the dance company was envisioned by nationally acclaimed Texan dance maker Bruce Wood. Bruce Wood Dance presents high-caliber, original, contemporary choreography that harnesses the power of dance as a tool for entertainment. Additionally, they have received numerous accolades over the years including being on the annual Top Ten Dance list by the Dallas Morning News.
TITAS was founded in 1982 and is recognized both nationally and internationally for its artistic excellence, breaking boundaries and serving as a catalyst for cultural collaborations within the arts. Their innovative and unique productions set them apart in the dance community. You can see them live at the AT&T Performing Arts Center every year.
Texas Ballet Theater is an internationally recognized company presenting classical and cutting-edge performances. Enjoy a beautiful rendition of the famous ballet, “The Nutcracker” performed every holiday season at the Winspear Opera House.
A partnership between the AT&T Performing Arts Center and the City of Dallas, the Elevator Project presents the best of the city’s small and emerging arts groups on the Center’s stages in the Dallas Arts District. Elevator Project brings together all types of art forms including dance, theatre and music. Enjoy local artists as they grace the stage with entertaining and thought-provoking performances.
