Events in Theater & Dance

Dallas has a robust theater and dance scene that's always buzzing. With a jam-packed events calendar year round, there's something to enjoy any time you visit Dallas.

Major venues in Dallas include the AT&T Performing Arts Center, a centerpiece of the Arts District for over a decade now, bringing some of the world's finest talent to Dallas year after year. The Center hosts three of the nation's best performance venues, the Winspear Opera HouseWyly Theatre and Strauss Square, while outside the Center, Sammons Park offers green space in the Dallas style for concerts and picnics.

Our resident companies include the Dallas Black Dance Theatre, the Anita N. Martinez Ballet Folklorico, as well as Dallas OperaTexas Ballet Theater and Dallas Theater Center. And there's more - this is Dallas, after all - where you can see some of the top Broadway shows or world-leading dance performances, either Downtown or in other venues across the city.

See our guide to the different  Performing Arts Centers around town and also check the guide to Dallas Dance Companies for more information on each company and where to see their performances. And if you enjoy a symphony, also look for the Dallas Symphony Orchestra playing at the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center, one of the best concert halls in the world!
