DART Light Rail
Reaching Downtown Dallas is easy. Take DART Light Rail from Terminal A to Downtown, you will be in Dallas in about 50 minutes and will spend $2.50 for a one way train ticket or $6.00 for a day ticket.

Reaching Downtown Dallas is easy. Take DART Light Rail from Terminal A to Downtown, you will be in Dallas in about 50 minutes and will spend $2.50 for a one way train ticket or $6.00 for a day ticket.
Get off at West End Station and take one of several Dallas city tour options such as the JFK Trolley Tour, Best DFW Tours and Segway Nation. Most tours will depart from Dealey Plaza or walking distance from it. You can combine this option with option 2.
Get off at West End Station and walk to the Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza to pay tribute to President JFK (allow 90 minutes). Next, walk to Reunion Tower's Geo Deck to take in a 360-degree view of Dallas (allow 45 minutes). Then head to Wild Bill's Western Store for cowboy boot and hat shopping (allow about 45 min.) and end up at Y.O. Ranch or Sonny Bryan's for lunch (allow 1 hour). *About 6 hours altogether.
Get off at Saint Paul Station and connect to Uptown with the free and historical McKinney Avenue Trolley. Have a snack at Klyde Warren Park, either at a food truck or at Savor Restaurant (allow 30 min. to 1 hour). Enjoy some of the free activities at Klyde Warren Park, such as petanque, tennis or a free architectural tour. Or take time to explore the adjacent Dallas Arts District (allow at least 1 hour min.).
Get off at City Place and walk to West Village for shopping (allow at least 1 hour). Have lunch at Taco Diner or Mi Cocina, experience the McKinney Avenue Trolley for a ride through Uptown, Klyde Warren Park and the Dallas Arts District. On the way back, visit The Rustic to taste local brews and then catch DART light rail at City Place to return to DFW Airport.
If visiting with the family get off at Victory Park and walk to the Perot Museum of Nature & Science (allow at least 1 hour). Have lunch at Taqueria La Ventana for a quick and affordable lunch, or walk to Klyde Warren Park to enjoy food from the Food Trucks (allow about 45 min.). After some fresh air, walk to the Dallas World Aquarium (allow at least 1 hour). With more time, take DART light rail from West End Station and head to the Dallas Zoo to check out the Giants of the Savannah exhibit (allow at least 1 hour).
Most basketball and hockey games happen in the evening. But a few are also during the day. Get off at Victory Park and enjoy a game at American Airlines Center. Then head across the street to the W Hotel for drinks or walk the Katy Trail and have drinks at the Katy Trail Icehouse to mingle with the locals.
Serious shoppers can head to NorthPark Center, our largest shopping center. With DART, get off at Park Lane Station and catch the NorthPark shuttle or walk to the main entrance. If the 235 stores at NorthPark aren't enough, go across the street to The Shops at Park Lane and find some of your favorite stores in their outlet version! As an added value, NorthPark offers excellent dining and one of the best collections of contemporary sculptures in the world.
Have a presidential day! Get off at Mockingbird Station and catch the Mustang Express (768) or the Museum Express (743) to the George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum, don't forget to take your picture in the Oval Office (allow 1.5 hours). You can also visit the Meadows Museum showcasing the largest collection of Spanish art outside of Spain. Or go back to Mockingbird Station for lunch and then head downtown with DART, get off at West End Station and visit the Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza to pay tribute to President JFK (allow 1.5 hours).
