Overview

Dallas Zoo Lights Presented by Reliant returns for its seventh year, with new interactive light features, new locations for old favorites, and breathtaking new scenes and installations that highlight wildlife and habitats around the world.

The beloved annual holiday event and its unique animal-themed vignettes will take guests on a strolling tour of regions across the globe – along with a trip back in time. For the first time ever, the Zoo’s dinosaur exhibit will be open and decked out in holiday lights – and access is included with Dallas Zoo Lights admission!

Also a first this year, the Zoo’s Picnic Ridge area will showcase a tented art exhibit featuring illuminated paintings that represent each of the Dallas Zoo’s species of focus through its Protecting the 12 conservation program. This mixed media show is provided by Russell Ronat, an artist and creator of Project Holocene.

With a bigger and brighter event in store this year, the Zoo team began installing lights in the midst of the August heat. Now up to almost 2 million holiday lights, the event also includes:

• 60 larger-than-life animal lanterns;

• A timed light show at the Amphitheater set to holiday tunes;

• Santa’s Workshop relocated to the Lacerte Family Children’s Zoo with an indoor space for the ever-popular visits with Santa;

• Unique photo ops for your holiday s-elf-ies;

• Nightly musical performances from local acts on the main stage in The Grove; and

• Festive new holiday menu items and drinks.

Tickets for Dallas Zoo Lights go on sale on Nov. 3, with a member-only presale starting Nov. 1. Tickets must be purchased online in advance, and popular nights are expected to sell out, so the Zoo encourages guests to plan their visit and get their tickets early.

Admission

Tickets start at $19 for adults and $15 for youth (ages 3-11). Zoo Members get a $4 ticket discount.
